Munnar is one of the most famous hill stations in South India, lying over 1,600 feet from the sea level. Situated in the confluence of three mountain streams, this place was once the favourite summer destinations of the British during their colonial rule. Lush-green tea plantations sprawling over mountains, exotic flora and fauna, winding roads all make Munnar unique.

Munnar is also famous for one of the rarest animals, the Nilgiri Tahr and one of the most exotic flowers in the world, Neelakurinji, which blooms once in 12 years. The nearby mountain ranges such as Anaimudi, Chokkanmudi etc are ideal spots for Trekking.
